Our Story

MatchTex Angling was established in 2022 after Peter Craig was asked by fellow anglers to organise a single match fishing event.

What began as a small local fishing match quickly expanded into multiple match fishing competitions across the UK. As demand grew, MatchTex Angling developed into a recognised name in UK match fishing — known for reliability, fairness, and well-organised events.

Fair & Transparent Match Fees

MatchTex Angling operates with fairness and accessibility in mind. Only a small percentage of match entry fees (maximum of 6%) is retained to cover essential costs such as:

• Equipment (including scales and weigh bags)
• Fishery booking deposits
